EPISODE SNEAK PEEK:
””I think that a lot of the intentions are good and we all want to help people and we all want to be nice and kind, but sometimes, we have to be uncomfortable. And change and growth doesn’t come from being comfortable and cozy.”
with Danait Berhe
WHAT'S IN THIS EPISODE?
I sat down with Danait Berhe to talk about the elephant in the (online creative entrepreneur community) room.
By the way, the phrase “elephant in the room” means “an obvious problem or risk no one wants to discuss, or a condition of groupthink no one wants to challenge.”
Just wanted to make that clear. Because we’re talking about something that’s a very obvious problem that’s not being discussed or challenged.
And that is a lack of support and inclusivity for diversity. In online communities, conference line-ups, expert round-tables … you name the place. This is probably an issue.
If this topic makes you uncomfortable, that’s OK. Please listen anyways. Like Danait said, “I think we all need to be a little uncomfortable in these conversations for us to really learn and move forward.”
