WHAT'S IN THIS EPISODE?

Going full-time and paying yourself full-time don’t always go hand-in-hand. That’s a common misconception a lot of on-the-road-to-full-timers have. It’s easy to look at someone’s entrepreneurial journey and make #alltheassumptions. But nine times out of ten, those assumptions are wrong.

So, in this episode, Megan Lee Johnson, a full-time wedding + portrait photographer, opens up and shares about the journey between taking her business full-time and actually paying herself full-time. Spoiler alert: it was a long, putting-groceries-on-the-credit-card two year journey.

WHO IS MEGAN LEE JOHNSON?

Megan Lee Johnson is a traveling wedding and portrait photographer. Megan studied graphic design at Utah Valley University before diving into a 9-5 corporate job. Years into at a company she loved, she realized she couldn’t put her heart into building someone else's dream any longer.  In 2014, she left that cozy job to build Megan Lee Photography in Laramie, Wyoming.

Today, her work is featured in publications and wedding magazines across the country and she serves wedding clients throughout Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Alaska, and California. Her approach to both wedding photography and life is all about finding balance between “feeling all the feels” and ’Seeing the beauty in everyday moments.’
