Episode Sneak Peek:
"You following the advice of somebody else over listening to your internal body wisdom - that's really a diet."
What's In This Episode:
Diet culture has deep roots that start infiltrating our lives well before we ever enter middle school. So, imagine the challenge of marketing a non-diet service (intuitive eating) to our diet-obsessed world.
In this episode, I sit down with Rachael Hartley, a private practice dietician and a food/wellness blogger, who's built her entire business around intuitive eating. She shares about what it is and what challenges she's faced trying to market it.
Intuitive eating is different than some fad diet. There aren't any before and after photos. And it's not about re-shaping your body.
So, how do you even begin to bulldoze through those deep diet roots? Listen to find out how.
Who's Rachael Hartley?
Rachael Hartley is a private practice dietitian and a food and wellness blogger at avocadoadaynutrition.com. Her passion is helping people rediscover the joy of eating by helping them make peace with food and their bodies (yes, to all of this!). She works with clients one-on-one both virtually and out of her Columbia, SC office. On her blog, she shares nutritious and delicious recipes (like this one I'm drooling over) and inspiration for a life well nourished. When she's not working on her business, she's usually playing with her two big fluffy dogs, or traveling with her husband, eating her way through the world!
